Heeey! So it has taken a little while to get around to this, and now of course there is too much to put in one post! But nevermind, I will write about what I can remember right now (having forgotten to bring my diary out with me oops!)
First month in Melbourne has been pretty awesome... Met a whole bunch of great people in the first few days, from the very funny Irish girls in my room to all the French lot and the Italians and well, it took a few weeks to actually meet any English people at all! And then there is Maria...the funny funny Dutch girl who has become my partner in crime in all things fun ;)
So first impressions were all good apart from one thing...no-one said it was going to be cold! Didn't really think that one through - but the weather should be getting better from now on... Summer is coming!
After a week I decided work would probably help if I was going to continue having so much fun, so the first job I had was working for 7 days for ESPO Solutions, where I stuck thousands and thousands of tiny paint sample tiles onto presentation boards. Once I had discovered how not to get superglue all over my hands it was a pretty good job and the people were nice and interesting so the time went quick! This is what I had to do...

After a week of 5am starts I took a few days of rest (read partying) and then got a job at the Royal Melbourne Show as an Airbrush Tattoo Artist! It's like colouring in on people, you even get to use glitter - amazing :) It was a great team and a lot of fun, and a great way to see the Melbourne Show for free...even went on a big scary ride that went all upside down and round about - very cool, even if I did have my eyes shut for most of it!
Here are some photos of the show...

Apart from work, I have just been having fun exploring and getting to know Melbourne and all the people around me. So, instead of telling you every single thing I have done, I will just say that there has been a lot of dancing, laughing, trivia, karaoke, trips to free restaurants, finding hidden gems down the little lanes and alleyways, parties in warehouses and quite a lot of goon.
Oh and I nearly forgot! The street art is amazing too....went on a little walking tour of some of it but it's just as good to look around you whilst out and about, especially when looking for bars and cafes as you often find cool art down the same alleyways and lanes...

And now I have just 2 weeks left in Melbourne until I head to Perth and then Thailand with Maria before coming back to Melbourne for a little while (may have possibly fallen for this crazy town already!) So I hope all is well with everyone and I will try and write sooner next time, promise ;)
